In a parts shop, your money is sitting on the shelves. Track it badly and you lose twice — once on stock-outs (sales you can't make) and once on dead stock (cash frozen in parts nobody buys).
Give every part a clear SKU and price
Unpriced or "KES 0" items lead to give-aways and mis-charges. Make sure every product has a selling price before it hits the counter.
Set a reorder level per part
Decide the minimum quantity at which you reorder. Software can then flag low stock automatically so fast-movers never run dry.
Watch your dead stock
Any part with no sales in 90 days is tying up cash. Review it monthly and discount or return slow movers.
Count what you can't trust
Do a rolling stock count — a few shelves a week — and adjust the system to match reality. Accurate stock is the foundation of every other report.
